The Bhagavad Gita class

May 11 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm MST

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 27, 2022

$40

In his book, The Bhagavad Gita, The Song of God Retold in Simplified English, Dr. Edward Viljoen says, “The Bhagavad Gita is a guide to spiritual self-discovery, with the goal of returning our awareness to the indwelling presence of the Divine.” The story is a conversation between warrior Arjuna, and his friend and chariot driver, the Lord Krishna. It is through this conversation that we learn to navigate the questions of our lives; what is my duty and purpose, what is God and how do I have a personal relationship with the Divine?

Over the years I have read, studied, and collected various translations and commentaries of the Bhagavad Gita. The Gita is comfort food for my spirit and soul.

I am excited to be facilitating a four week class developed by Rev. Dr. Edward Viljoen, based on his simplified version of the Bhagavad Gita. If you’ve ever been curious, or if you’ve been reading and studying the Gita for years, I hope you join me as together we come to a deeper knowing of the Divine as us.

This class is offered through Zoom. Please email admin@tucsoncsl.org for information.
